Dr. Alberto di Ronza is a postdoctoral associate and he works at Baylor College of Medicine. He graduated in Italy at the Second University of Naples and he got his PhD in Medical Genetics in 2010, by working at Telethon Institute of Genetic and Medicine. Throughout his PhD training experience he focused his research interests on Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSDs), participating in the discovery of the Transcription factor EB (TFEB), a master regulator of lysosomal biogenesis. He is currently working on the characterization of molecular mechanisms that lead to Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL). He has a strong background in molecular genetics and cell biology, being co-author of several manuscripts.
