The ClinGen Biocurator Working Group provides a forum for education, training, and support for all ClinGen gene and variant biocurators. The group currently has a membership of over 100 curators.

Documents Membership


  1. To provide an access point for introducing new curators to the ClinGen gene and variant biocuration process, including the necessary frameworks, tools, software, and educational materials.
  2. To provide biocurators with continuing education on salient topics in gene and variant curation.
  3. To encourage an interactive dialog between biocurators for the purposes of troubleshooting problems and brainstorming solutions, sharing best practices, and comparing experiences.
  4. To serve as a mechanism for feedback from the biocurators regarding any issues with the curation process that may be appropriate for discussion with the ClinGen leadership.
